geluu.com Privacy Policy
Effective
This policy covers the geluu.com website itself. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits, but analytics is off by default — nothing is written to a cookie and nothing that could identify you is sent to Google unless you accept.
The short version
No measurement by default. Google Analytics cookies are enabled only if you accept, and you can withdraw at any time. The site itself needs no account and keeps no server-side access logs.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-PTLW8FV77T) with Google’s Consent Mode v2 enabled. On page load every consent signal starts at denied: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.
That means no analytics cookie is written until you press Accept. The four advertising signals stay denied permanently — accepting analytics does not turn them on.
If you do accept, Google Analytics collects the following:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
A randomly generated visitor ID (stored in a _ga cookie) | Telling returning visits from new ones |
| Which pages you viewed and where you arrived from | Seeing which tools people actually look at |
| Browser, operating system, screen size, language | Deciding which devices to support |
| Approximate location inferred from your IP (country / city) | Knowing roughly where visitors are |
About IP addresses
Google Analytics 4 infers approximate location from your IP address, but according to Google’s documentation GA4 does not log or store raw IP addresses. This is Google’s statement, relayed here; it is not something I can verify myself.
If you would rather that did not happen, choose Decline — nothing is sent to Google when you decline.
Browser local storage
The following live in your browser’s localStorage. They are not cookies and are never sent to any server, including mine:
| Key | What it holds | When it is written |
|---|---|---|
geluu:lang | The interface language you switched to | When you use the language switcher |
geluu:consent | Your analytics choice (accepted / declined) | When you press a button on the consent bar |
Server logs
The site is static files hosted on AWS S3 + CloudFront. CloudFront access logging is turned off, so no access records are kept on my side.
The site itself has no accounts, no forms and no comments, so nothing is submitted to a server.
Each tool has its own policy
This policy does not cover the tools listed on the site — they handle data differently:
- Who’s Who (Chrome extension) has its own privacy policy. All data stays inside your browser and the extension contains no network code.
- Werewolf Host runs on a separate domain (
wolves.maidanr.com) as an independent online service with its own accounts; game data lives on that server. This policy does not apply to it. - Zalgo Text is computed entirely in your browser — what you type never leaves your device.
Withdrawing consent
There is a “Choose again” button at the bottom of this page. Pressing it clears your previous choice and brings the consent bar back.
Clearing this site’s data in your browser has the same effect. Once withdrawn, analytics returns to denied immediately.
Changes to this policy
If I add another analytics or third-party service, I will update this policy and change the effective date above.
Cleared — you will be asked again on reload
